Short Breaks

Where a Short Break can be offered, the following rules apply:

  1. Variable rates apply. Please call for details.
  2. Short Breaks can be booked 4 weeks before the holiday date by phone on 01202 707357.
  3. No ‘Priority entitlement’ in subsequent years.
  4. Payment by card or cash on booking (i.e. provisionals are not held for 7 days).
  5. Short Breaks during low season are charged at the weekly rate.

These are basic conditions on Short Breaks – please phone for more specific information regarding properties that accept short breaks, availability (not more than 4 weeks in advance) and to book. Thank you.

BTEC Art & Design – Explore 2 Dimensions – Organic Forms

Students studying BTEC art at Winchelsea Special School in Poole have submitted ‘Seaside’ themed pictures as part of their course. We were so impressed with the work, we thought we would include it in the 2017 brochure. Originally planned as a ‘competition’, the standard proved so high that it was decided to include all the student’s work!

Rumsey Holiday Homes is delighted to be able to bring the work of these very special students to the attention of a wider audience.

Commenting on the project, Art Tutor Shirley Courtney said: ‘The students and I were excited about taking part in a competition for Rumsey Holiday Homes but later completely overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and support they have shown us. Our students will be left with the legacy of pride in their work and the knowledge that it was highly valued by a caring, successful local business. Thank you so much.’ Shirley Courtney

All the contractors used to service our properties, whilst independent of Rumsey Holiday Homes, have worked for us and our owners for many years. Fully qualified in their respective fields, they are able to respond quickly and efficiently to any call out. From resolving minor repairs to full property refurbishment, Rumsey’s panel of builders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and ‘handymen’ are capable, efficient and competitively priced.

From time to time, properties that have been with Rumsey Holiday Homes come up for sale. These provide an excellent opportunity to buy a ‘going concern’ that is already geared up to holiday letting. Many of our client owners were visitors and took the opportunity to invest themselves, once the opportunity arose. Our fully managed service deals with all the marketing, bookings, cleaning and maintenace and we are always on hand if the guests need anything during their stay.
